Antonio Alejandro Matta-Gómez received his B.Sc. in computer engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Cali, Colombia, where he worked as a research assistant in the Robotics and Automation Research Group building a three-dimensional simulation software for serial manipulators called ROBOMOSP.

Currently in Madrid, his work is mainly focused on the virtual simulation of heterogeneous mobile robots in persuit of a common mission using Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio as the robotics framework.

His main areas of interest are three-dimensional simulation of robotics systems, and concurrency and distribution among processes involved in robotics frameworks.  
He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
